Orbital Drop Pod

This is a functional drop pod design that you can assemble and slap down to open the doors. The only non-3d printed part you need is half of a spring from a pen. Make sure the spring has slightly larger diameter than the top rod's dowel, and ensure it is slightly longer as well. The doors might need some lubricant or just repetitive movement to open up reliably

v2 Update: u/otterproper has found out that the v1 files scaled to 17,093.71% will fit 6 MkVIs in the interior and is pretty comparable to existing drop pods. I personally printed mine at 10,000%, but I imagine details and clearances will only get nicer at the larger scale. V2 files have been adjusted to 17,093.71%

This looks amazing and I'm hoping to print one soon! One question though - When I try to import the models into the slicer, it doesn't seem to understand the scale of the objects. Any tips you could share?

Hi Wharhed, I have uploaded v2 files that have been scaled up 17,093.71%. According to u/otterproper on Reddit, this should fit 6 minis. I personally printed the one seen in the photos at 10,000% scale and they do not fit any minis inside. Anyways, v2 files should be scaled and import into slicers fine now, let me know if not. Thank you
